We had a great job at the Hershey Track meet this week!!! Mt. Loafer had it's annual Walk-a-Thon. The weather was a little crazy and we weren't sure if we would get to walk outside...but thankfully we did...and got covered in Chalk in the process....... We have been preparing this week for the Science Sage Test...Hopefully the "fourth" is with us today as we being the test :-) On March 31st....We got to go to Provo Rec for a Good Student Reward Activity! We had a blast!!! Thanks so much Mrs. Killian for allowing us to have this activity! Today was a big day in our classroom! We went to the Jr. High Registration Assembly. The students were able to be exposed to just a little bit of what Jr. High can offer them. We then went on a tour of the school. The big highlights....were a demonstration of how to open your locker and, of course, the Vending Machines! Today is March 14....or otherwise know as Pi Day (3.14) We learned about Pi and how it relates to circles...Ask you student about it!!! Then, of course, we enjoyed some Pie!!!
We Celebrated Valentines Day on Friday! The students had fun playing "Love" Bingo, Displaying their Valentine boxes and eating the CUTE cookies that Mrs. Benard (Joe's mom) made for us! Today we learned about how sunlight makes shadows and how that is connected to Groundhog day. Ask your student if the Groundhog saw his shadow or not and why he did or didn't..... We love it when the District Art Specialist Mrs. Jex comes to our class to teach us a fun art project! Last week she taught us about ROY G BIV and we did an art project with the color spectrum. They turned out awesome! Have your student explain what ROY G BIV stands for...... |
